Job summary

Aramark seeks a Junior Data Engineer to design and maintain scalable data pipelines, dashboards, and cloud infrastructure that empower analytics and AI initiatives. You will work with SQL, Python, and modern tooling to transform diverse data into trusted products for decision making.

Ideal candidates will be based near Philadelphia, Chicago, or Rockville, MD, with visa sponsorship not available. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to success.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience building data pipelines and working with relational SQL databases.
• Proficiency with Python (including Pandas) for data engineering and automation.
• Demonstrated experience using AI tools to solve problems—LLMs, AI-assisted coding, or ML in a project setting.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools, particularly Power BI.
• Undergraduate degree in CS/Engineering/Math; graduate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ELT/ETL workflows using SQL, Python, and cloud platforms.
• Model and curate reusable data products for analytics, research, and AI systems.
• Create and maintain data visualization dashboards and reports (Power BI).
• Apply AI tools to solve data problems, accelerate delivery, and improve reliability and quality.
• Collaborate with research, product, data science, and design teams to support data infrastructure needs.
• Document data models and current-state data documentation.
• Develop lightweight applications, internal tools, APIs, and user interfaces on a modern stack (SpringBoot/React).
• Maintain cloud data architectures with DataOps and DevOps practices.
