Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Data Engineer to work hands-on and collaboratively to evolve our enterprise data platform and AI-driven capabilities. The role involves designing, building, and deploying cloud-native, service-oriented data products.

The successful candidate will own core data pipelines, work with dbt, Azure Logic Apps/Function Apps, and Snowflake, and contribute to a scalable data architecture while aligning with business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of software development experience in the data domain.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS).
• Experience with ELT, ingestion/orchestration, and data transformation pipelines.
• Data modeling and transformation frameworks (dbt or equivalent).
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or equivalent data warehousing.
• Experience with Spark, streaming, or large-scale data processing.
• CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, GitHub Actions).
• Experience designing, building, and operating production-grade data pipelines at scale.

Responsibilities

• Write, review, and own code; hands-on technical execution.
• Design and ship cloud-native, data product components used enterprise-wide.
• Build reusable data platform capabilities and ingestion frameworks (dbt, Azure Logic Apps/Function Apps, Snowflake).
• Design and operate reliable data pipelines with monitoring and recovery.
• Architect and maintain integration between on-premises and cloud platforms.
• Develop scalable data transformation pipelines (dbt).
• Establish data engineering best practices including CI/CD and testing.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the data engineering roadmap.
