Job summary

RateHawk is seeking a Junior Data Analyst to join the Finance Analytics team. You’ll support the finance department with ad hoc requests, pull and prepare data with SQL, and maintain reporting scripts.

You’ll build dashboards, check data quality, and explain numbers to stakeholders across finance, commercial, marketing and product. You’ll contribute to unit economics and plan‑vs‑actual analyses, while helping maintain data marts and improving existing reporting.

Qualifications

• 6–12 months of experience in data analytics, consulting, or a finance‑related role with hands‑on data work.
• Confident SQL skills with joins, window functions, CTEs and data quality checks.
• Experience with at least one BI tool (Tableau or Metabase).
• Strong Excel skills, including lookups, arrays, pivot tables and charts.
• Understanding of GMV, ARPU, margin, conversion and revenue.
• English at B2 level or higher and ability to work in GMT+3.

Responsibilities

• Turn data into actionable answers for the business and finance teams.
• Support ad hoc data requests and pull/prepare data with SQL.
• Maintain and improve reporting and reconciliation scripts and check data quality.
• Explain what the numbers show and partner with finance, marketing, product and commercial teams.
• Build dashboards and data marts; participate in unit economics and plan‑vs‑actual research.
