CACI International Inc. is seeking a Junior Cyber Software Engineer to design, develop, and secure next-generation tactical cyber infrastructure.

You will apply Rust and other memory‑safe languages to build secure software for embedded architectures, military vehicles, and tactical networks. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to modernize the cyber landscape, reduce vulnerabilities, and support critical missions, with a focus on embedded systems, Linux environments, and DoD

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM discipline.
• 1–3 years of professional software development experience, or equivalent military / co‑op experience.
• Strong understanding of Rust fundamentals (safe/unsafe Rust, ownership & borrowing rules, concurrency).
• Hands-on experience with C, C++, or Go.
• Proficiency with Linux environments and Git.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and secure next-generation tactical cyber infrastructure and defense solutions.
• Develop clean, safe Rust code with modules in C/C++ or Go.
• Redesign and harden legacy software to mitigate memory-related exploits.
• Integrate software components with hardware, in-vehicle networks, and tactical systems.
• Review, debug, and test software using automated pipelines to meet design requirements.
