Job summary

Node.Digital is seeking an Incident Manager to support a government client in Arlington, VA. The junior role requires active TS/SCI clearance and hands-on experience in cyber incident management.

You will analyze alerts, coordinate with teams, and help restore services during shifts. Responsibilities include trend analysis, defense-in-depth recommendations, and rapid mitigation steps while ensuring compliance with NIST, FISMA, and NCCIC scoring guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have U.S. Citizenship and active TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience in cyber incident management or cybersecurity operations is required.
• Familiarity with incident response methodologies and reporting standards is essential.
• Know ledge of NIST 800-62 (latest revision) and FISMA requirements for incidents.
• Ability to prioritize triage using NCCIC Cyber Incident Scoring System.
• Understand attack lifecycle stages and vulnerability types.
• Proficient in system administration basics and OS hardening techniques.
• Knowledge of various threat environments and cyber threat actors.
• Strong analytic and documentation skills for incident tracking.

Responsibilities

• Correlate incident data to identify trends in reported incidents.
• Recommend defense-in-depth principles and practices.
• Perform CND incident triage: scope, urgency, impact.
• Research known resolution steps to mitigate incidents.
• Apply cybersecurity concepts to detect and defend intrusions.
• Monitor external data sources for threat condition accuracy.
• Identify incident causes and gather background details from external entities.
• Receive and analyze network alerts and determine root causes.
• Track CND incidents from detection to final resolution with cross-team coordination.
