area, you’ll perform threat intelligence activities to protect energy sector partners. The role emphasizes SIEM analysis, incident response support, and risk assessment in collaboration with security teams. Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in cybersecurity or threat analysis, familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF, RMF, and Security+ or equivalent certification.

Qualifications

• Experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, QRadar, or Elastic.

Purpose and Impact: Amentum is seeking Junior Cyber Intelligence Analysts to support our U.S. Department of Energy contract. Position will be based in the Washington, D.C area.
Work Schedule: 5 days, 8 hrs
Essential Responsibilities: Provide a wide range of Cyber Intelligence (CI) services to deliver timely, actionable, and relevant threat intelligence on hostile nation-states, cyber adversaries, and criminals seeking to conduct malicious cyber activities against U.S. energy sector partners.
Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

• 2-4 years supporting cybersecurity, cyber intelligence, SOC operations, incident response, or threat analysis.
• Experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, QRadar, or Elastic.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and RMF.
• Security+ required (or ability to obtain within six months).

Security Clearance Required:

• Active TS/SCI or DOE Q
