Novul Solutions in Arlington, VA is seeking an experienced Computer Network Defense Analyst to monitor DoD enterprise networks, perform threat detection, incident analysis, and response in a secure environment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with SIEM platforms, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and network traffic analysis, and will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve security posture. Onsite only with occasional travel; US citizenship and active DoD TS/SCI clearance required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of cybersecurity or security operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, cloud platforms, networking, and security tools.
• Experience monitoring security tools and analyzing network events.
• Experience implementing security configurations following vendor and DISA best practices.
• Ability to work independently and communicate with customers.
• US Citizenship, active DoD TS/SCI clearance at start of employment, and willingness to CI Polygraph if required.
• Current DoD 8140 IAT Level II or III certification (e.g., Security+ CE or approved equivalent).

Aufgaben

• Monitor enterprise networks, security tools, and applications to detect, correlate, and investigate suspicious or malicious activity.
• Analyze security alerts, IDS/IPS events, network traffic, and system logs to identify cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.
• Investigate security incidents, assess impact, and recommend appropriate response actions and mitigation strategies.
• Document security incidents, analysis, findings, and response recommendations in ticketing systems; perform routine security checks and maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, storage, database, and application teams to strengthen security and support cloud migration initiatives.
• Assist senior analysts and management with threat forecasting, security trend analysis, and improvements to network defense processes.
• Maintain direct customer communication and implement security configurations following vendor recommendations and DISA guidelines.
