Job summary

Spice World, LLC in Orlando, FL, is seeking a Junior Cost Accountant to join our finance team. You will work with Operations, Supply Chain, Production and Finance to ensure accurate product costing, inventory valuation, reporting and operational analysis that support informed decisions and continuous improvement.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance; CPA or MBA preferred.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience; cost accounting preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of GAAP and inventory management.
• Proficient with MS Office and NetSuite.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month end close activities.
• Support periodic cost reviews and standard cost updates.
• Partner with plant operations to identify cost saving opportunities.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports for plant corporate leadership.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and operating plan activities.
• Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
• Protect organization's value by keeping confidential information.
• Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

As a Cost Accountant, you will work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Production and Finance to help ensure accurate product costing, inventory valuation, reporting and operational analysis that support informed business decisions and continuous improvement. Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance (CPA or MBA preferred)
• 1-3 years of accounting experience. Cost accounting experience, preferably.

• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize efficiently.
• Knowledge of cost accounting, experience in inventory management.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software (Net Suite).
