Job summary

Spice World, LLC in Orlando, FL is seeking a Junior Cost Accountant to help ensure accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and financial reporting. You will work with Operations, Supply Chain, Production and Finance.

The role focuses on maintaining standard costs for raw materials and finished goods, supporting month-end close, cost reviews, and budgeting activities. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in accounting/finance and 1–3 years of cost accounting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance; CPA or MBA preferred.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience; cost accounting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end close activities and reporting.

Junior Cost Accountant

As a Cost Accountant, you will work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Production and Finance to help ensure accurate product costing, inventory valuation, reporting and operational analysis that support informed business decisions and continuous improvement. Maintain and analyze standard costs for raw materials and finished goods.

• Assist with month end close activities.
• Support periodic cost reviews and standard cost updates.
• Partner with plant operations to understand processes and identify / quantify cost saving opportunities.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports for plant corporate leadership.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and operating plan activities.
• Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
• Protect organization's value by keeping confidential information.
• Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance (CPA or MBA preferred)
• 1-3 years of accounting experience. Cost accounting experience, preferably.
