Job summary

KNAPP seeks an Assistant Corporate Counsel to draft and review legal documents, including NDAs, contracts, articles of incorporation, briefs and memoranda, while supporting cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a J.D. from an accredited institution and admission to a state bar, with 1–3 years of experience in construction or technology fields; immigration experience is a plus. The attorney will work with the Legal Team and GC on a variety of strategic matters.

Qualifications

• J.D. Degree from an accredited institution and admission to a state bar.
• 1–3 years of direct experience in construction and/or technology fields preferred.
• Experience drafting, reviewing, editing, and negotiating various agreements including commercial, technical, licensing.

Responsibilities

• Review and draft legal documents including NDAs, contracts, articles of incorporation, briefs and legal memoranda.
• Occasionally provide support with immigration matters.
• Check and edit legal forms and documents for accuracy.
• Identify relevant statutes, legal articles, codes and other pertinent material.
• Perform legal and factual research of records.
• Organize, cross-check, validate and analyze information.
• Prepare written reports and correspondence.
• Build and maintain databases and files.
• Review employment agreements, job descriptions and severance agreements.
• Review and approve change orders, purchase orders, and proposals.
• Draft and review LOIs.
• Assist and provide support to Legal Team, GC and cross-functional departments.
