Job summary

Swiss Krono USA seeks a Controls Engineer I to join the process control team in Klamath Falls. You will design and implement electrical and control solutions for wood products facilities, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and related software. On-site work and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement of electrical and process control systems, training of personnel, and documentation maintenance to ensure reliability and safety across assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, manufacturing, mechatronics or mechanical engineering.
• Experience with PLC, HMI or other programming languages (VB, Python, C#).
• Familiar with sensors, transmitters and control systems.
• Experience in process control within manufacturing preferred.
• Willingness to work on-site and support maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, configuration, integration and implementation of process control solutions.
• Monitor machinery to minimize downtime and identify improvements.
• Provide electrical engineering support and documentation for systems.
• Train and assist personnel in operating and maintaining controls.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations to improve asset performance.
