Verus Associates, Inc is seeking an Associate Automation / Controls Engineer to join a collaborative team and launch a career with industry experts. You will work under mentors to build your toolkit, code PLC/HMI/SCADA programs, design control panels, and develop complete project documentation.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or CS and 0–2 years of experience, with interest in travel to client sites for commissioning and support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics) or Computer Science from an accredited university.
• 0–2 years of experience; internships, senior design projects, or technical co-ops valued.
• Exposure to PLC, HMI/SCADA, and basic networking concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support SCADA, HMI, and PLC programs per defined control strategies.
• Assist in designing control panels and selecting industrial components.
• Create system specifications, sequences of operations, and lifecycle documentation.
• Provide on-site field support during commissioning to validate designs.
