Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Control Engineer to design, program, and commission automation and SCADA systems across diverse applications including building automation and power controls. Strong PLC/SCADA expertise and field testing experience are essential.

Ideal candidates will have a Master's or Bachelor’s in electrical/automation engineering with hands-on experience in control systems startup, calibration, and troubleshooting. Knowledge of multiple platforms enhances candidacy.

Qualifications

Proficient in ladder logic and structured text.
Experience reading electrical and control schematics and plans.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex automation issues.
Experience designing, programming, and troubleshooting PLCs or DDCs on listed platforms.
Experience with CAD/CAE software such as AutoCAD or EPLAN.

Responsibilities

Originates design documents for small projects and supports large programs.
Lead programming / configuration efforts for complex automation and SCADA applications.
Program / configure / troubleshoot PLCs, RTUs, and HMIs.
Test, troubleshoot, deploy, and commission deployed systems.
Perform factory and field testing; develop test fixtures and procedures.
Perform hardware and software upgrades and replacements on existing systems.
