Job summary

Roers Companies in Plymouth, MN, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the construction team across pre-construction and active projects. You will help manage coordination, schedules, safety and quality control while assisting the Project Manager with communication to subcontractors and stakeholders.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field, plus 1–3 years of experience in multifamily or commercial construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field.
• High school diploma or GED with 1‑3 years of related experience.
• 1‑3 years of project engineering, project coordination, or management in multifamily construction.

Responsibilities

• Support entire project team with daily project coordination.
• Take directions from the Project Manager and communicate expectations and direction to subcontractors and employees.
• Procurement of construction materials, tools and equipment as required.
• Interact with Architects, Structural Engineers, Civil Engineers, Landscape, Utility Consultants, Soils Engineers, and other professionals.
• Review and update progress and cost reports, schedules, and requirements for completion.
• Collaborate with Project Manager to ensure project site and company assets are secure and maintain safety and respect.
• Assist in project estimation and any pre‑construction activities.
• Coordinate with Project Manager and Accounting for monthly draws.
• Assist in reviewing and verifying all payment applications monthly.
• Assist in all OAC meetings and maintain minutes.
• Maintain Procore project site: Submittals, RFIs, Change Requests, O&M docs, drawing logs.
• Provide drawing updates to affected teams for accuracy.
