Job summary

Sonic Internet + Phone is hiring a Project Coordinator I in Santa Rosa, CA. This full-time, hybrid role supports day-to-day project management for plant construction projects, focusing on permitting, inspections, and document control.

The ideal candidate will manage purchase orders, assist with SOWs, coordinate with municipal agencies, and ensure timely project approvals while upholding Sonic's values of customer service, quality and integrity.

Qualifications

• Knowledge/experience in AT&T, PG&E, or aerial utility construction.
• Experience with permitting processes for aerial/underground construction and related timelines.
• Ability to interface with municipal departments to secure permit approvals and coordinate inspections.
• Assist with SOW documents and various permitting tasks (Pole owner attachments, AHJ encroachment permits).
• Familiarity with project lifecycle from pre-engineering to post-construction activities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day project management activities across all project phases.
• Prepare purchase order requests and monitor construction tracking.
• Prepare and track check requests and permit applications.
• Deliver permits and fees to Agencies Having Jurisdiction to secure approvals.
• Push JIRA workflows and upload project files to SharePoint or J drive.
• Maintain project progress meeting minutes and coordinate IT/logistics for contractor IDs.
