Job summary

Miron Construction Co., Inc. is seeking an entry-level estimator to learn our estimating methods and contribute to a fast-paced team.

The role typically handles 35 to 55 projects per year, with project values ranging from $1 million to $10 million. You will review bid documents, solicit subcontractors, perform quantity takeoffs, participate in site visits, and collaborate with internal teams to prepare clear, compelling bids.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field or equivalent experience.
• Ability to quickly analyze, interpret and compare information.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Engages in learning opportunities to strengthen skills.
• Participates in project site visits to evaluate existing conditions.
• Reviews bid documents to understand the project basics.
• Solicits subcontractors and vendors to bid and coordinates scope coverage.
• Reviews subcontractor scopes and coordinates bid requirements with the internal estimating team.
• Produces self-perform quantity takeoffs.
• Establishes low-level preliminary project schedules.
• Creates and fulfills the final bid day solution.
• Generates deliverables to present estimates to project teams and external stakeholders.
• Maintains strong communication with all stakeholders.
• Uses Microsoft Office, PDFs and estimating software.
