Job summary

Ironmark Building Co. is seeking an Estimating Intern to begin in mid-late May 2027.

You will assist the Preconstruction team in evaluating project documents, developing estimates, soliciting subcontractor pricing, and compiling the information necessary to prepare competitive bids. You will gain knowledge and experience while assisting with project setup, bid strategy, quantity takeoffs, subcontractor solicitation, price vetting, and estimate assembly and review.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a 4-year Construction Program.
• Basic knowledge of construction and industry practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project setup and organization of bid documents.
• Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Perform quantity takeoffs using OST and Bluebeam.
• Assist with subcontractor and vendor solicitation.
• Track subcontractor bid coverage and follow up with bidders.
• Review and compare subcontractor proposals and pricing.
• Support bid leveling and identify scope gaps.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and estimate reviews as applicable.
