Job summary

Atkinson Construction is seeking an Engineer graduating Winter 2026/Spring 2027 to join our San Diego team. You will receive formal training and mentorship while building technical skills, leadership instincts, and business acumen from day one.

You’ll contribute to scheduling, cost engineering, subcontract coordination, and project administration, working with project managers and superintendents on diverse jobsites.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree with expected graduation Winter 2025 or Spring 2026.
• Interest and passion for the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Project Management: understand day-to-day and long-term financial management on construction projects.
• Financial Management: review gross billings, track change orders, and subcontractor requisitions.
• Document Control: manage the submittals, RFIs, and material tracking.
• Support Crews and Trades: assist in site logistics and crew needs for efficiency.
• Field Management: learn site logistics and ensure quality and safety.
