Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Construction Engineer-in-Training for Summer 2027 in the New York area (Woodcliff Lake, NJ or Albany/NYC). You will support structural design tasks, learn from senior engineers, and contribute to site observations and documentation for complex projects.

This is a 40-hour, full-time role within a dynamic, employee-owned firm. Ideal candidates have an ABET-accredited degree, knowledge of design software, and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
Experience with MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Revit.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong communication and technical writing skills.
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
Team-oriented and good problem-solving abilities.
0-2 years of engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Perform structural engineering analysis and design of temporary and permanent works.
Develop construction sequence proposals.
Produce sketches to communicate the design to clients.
Assist in preparing deliverables: reports, drawings, specs, cost estimates, field data, BIM/CADD work.
Conduct basic site observations and surveys.
