Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. is seeking a motivated student for a Construction Engineering Internship for Summer 2027 in Woodcliff Lake, NJ.

You will work under senior engineers and project managers, gaining hands-on experience in construction engineering, design consulting, and on-site observations. Responsibilities include supporting structural analysis, communicating design concepts, preparing deliverables, and participating in basic surveying.

Qualifications

• This is an entry level position with no previous experience required.
• Currently enrolled in an ABET-Accredited College Engineering Program.

Responsibilities

• Assist with structural engineering analysis and design of temporary and permanent works.
• Support structural analysis of permanent structures during the construction phase.
• Contribute to evaluating construction sequence proposals.
• Prepare sketches and markups to communicate design concepts to clients and contractors.
• Assist in preparing project deliverables: reports, drawings, cost estimates, field data, and BIM/CADD work.
• Participate in basic survey tasks and observe construction activities.
• Incorporate feedback from Project and Technical Managers into work products.
• Complete tasks within schedules and budgets while developing professional skills.
