Job summary

DBI Construction Consultants is seeking a Construction Cost Estimator to join our team across multiple US locations including Chicago. You will analyze costs, timelines, and risks, visiting sites to gather data and prepare practical, evidence-based estimates.

Responsibilities include site visits, labor/material analysis, cost tracking, and reporting using Xactimate, Bluebeam Revu, and scheduling tools. Travel approximately 30% is required, and a bachelor’s degree in a related field with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/mechanical/structural engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Past construction or risk management internship experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication and technical reading skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with site visits to collect measurements, photos, and project details.
• Support the analysis of labor, materials, and timelines for project estimates.
• Help track costs and flag differences between projected and actual figures.
• Learn to prepare professional reports and data entries in estimating tools.
• Gain exposure to industry software like Xactimate, Bluebeam Revu, and project scheduling tools.
