Job summary

Hightower Advisors in Chicago seeks a Compliance Data and Reporting analyst to support branch examination planning and compliance testing. You’ll develop dashboards and repeatable data tests, reconciling information across compliance, branch, and examination systems.

You’ll work with SQL, Alteryx, and Power BI to deliver practical reporting solutions, and collaborate with technology and business partners to ensure data quality and actionable insights.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or compliance testing.
• Experience analyzing structured data and producing repeatable reports.
• Working proficiency in SQL and hands-on with Alteryx, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Foundational knowledge of SEC/FINRA or compliance practices.
• Ability to translate data findings to nontechnical audiences and document data sources.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and tools for branch examination planning and risk identification.
• Gather, reconcile, and validate information from compliance systems and business sources.
• Analyze results to identify unusual activity, trends, and potential risks.
• Explain results, document findings, and present summaries to leadership and partners.
• Support examination lifecycle from risk assessment to remediation tracking.
• Create repeatable data-based tests for examinations and compliance reviews.
• Contribute to testing and reporting for other Compliance priorities as needed.
• Use SQL and tools like Alteryx; automate recurring work with Power Automate and Power Apps.
• Clarify needs with partners and document data sources, definitions, and report logic.
