Job summary

Newmark is seeking a motivated Junior Broker in Bellevue to support our commercial real estate team. The role focuses on business development, market research, client service, and coordinating lease, purchase, sale, and disposition transactions.

Working closely with senior brokers, you will assist from initial research and client tours through negotiation, execution, and closeout. A clear path toward managing client relationships and deals independently is offered as hands-on training is

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, real estate, finance, economics, marketing, or a related field preferred.
Real estate sales associate license required, or the ability to obtain one within an agreed period, depending on local regulations.
Previous experience in commercial real estate, sales, customer service, financial analysis, or business development is preferred but not required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational, follow-up, and time-management abilities.
Professional approach to serving both internal and external clients.
Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple assignments, deadlines, and transaction details.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Experience with CRM, transaction-management, or real estate research platforms is an advantage.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a brokerage team.

Responsibilities

Research local market conditions, available properties, comparable transactions, pricing, and prospective clients.
Generate new business opportunities through calls, emails, networking, referrals, and targeted market outreach.
Support senior brokers in developing and maintaining relationships with occupiers, owners, investors, landlords, and other industry professionals.
Assist with lease renewals, new leases, subleases, lease terminations, property purchases, and sales.
Coordinate transaction activities in accordance with client objectives, timelines, and internal procedures.
Serve as a point of contact for clients, landlords, local brokers, attorneys, and third-party service providers.
Prepare market surveys, client tour materials, requests for proposals, counterproposals, letters of intent, broker opinions of value, deal summaries, and presentation materials.
Assist senior brokers with lease and contract negotiations, including tracking proposals, amendments, critical dates, and outstanding items.
Prepare and review basic financial analyses, including cash-flow projections, net present value, internal rate of return, and comparisons of multiple transaction scenarios.
Maintain the transaction tracking system and monitor deadlines to support the timely completion of assignments.
Organize transaction documents, executed agreements, lease abstracts, contact lists, activity logs, and project closeout files.
Schedule client meetings and property tours and respond promptly to transaction-related inquiries.
Prepare reports and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders.
Review deal and commission calculations, prepare deal sheets, and track commission payments.
Coordinate with internal departments and external professionals to help deliver a seamless client experience.
Participate in training, licensing, and professional-development activities.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
