Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Junior Legal Advisor for in-house counsel team in Welkom, SA. You will draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, support business units and assist with due diligence, under senior lawyers.

Hybrid work schedule with training, mentorship and exposure to a broad range of commercial matters. Requires SA admission, LLB and 0–3 years’ experience in contract law; strong drafting and communication skills; willing to commute to Welkom when needed.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney or Advocate of the High Court of SA.
• LLB or equivalent law degree.
• 0–3 years of post-qualification experience in commercial or contract law.
• Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills.
• Willing to commute to Welkom for hybrid workdays.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts.
• Provide legal advice to business units on contractual matters.
• Support senior lawyers and manage contract lifecycles.
• Maintain contract records and assist with due diligence.
• Develop standard templates and legal guidelines.
