Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. is seeking an Engineer, Combustion Tuning to apply advanced combustion engineering to the commissioning, startup, optimization, troubleshooting and performance tuning of Mitsubishi Power heavy-duty gas turbines.

You will analyze combustion data and implement tuning strategies for reliable operation across operating conditions. The role includes on-site field support, calibration of field devices, and reporting; heavy overnight travel (up to 70%) is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; three to five years related experience or equivalent combination.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills; ability to read and interpret technical procedures.
• Experience with combustion processes, turbine controls, and data analysis.
• Travel up to 70% for outages and field work.

Responsibilities

• Apply combustion engineering principles to commissioning, startup, optimization, and tuning of heavy-duty gas turbines.
• Analyze combustion and turbine data to develop tuning strategies and improve performance.
• Provide field startup, commissioning support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Calibrate field devices and verify controller performance and reporting.
