Job summary

Ohio's Electric Cooperatives seeks an Equipment Operator Junior (EOJ) to support coal handling operations, conveyors, and mobile equipment in the plant yard. You will learn to perform prestart checks, clean and maintain equipment, and follow safety rules.

Qualifications

• Requires an associate degree in engineering, industrial, or energy tech or equivalent experience.
• Alternative: associate degree in any discipline plus two years related work.
• High school diploma with four years related work, or two years military experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate conveyors and mobile equipment; perform prestart checks and basic maintenance.
• Clean chutes; troubleshoot belts; inspect shoots and belts; assist in repairs.
• Perform PMs on conveyors and yard equipment; assist in general maintenance tasks.
• Follow safety rules, regulations, and participate in HPI activities.
• Train for firefighting, first aid, and other emergency response programs as assigned.
• Snow plowing, road/area maintenance, and general grounds upkeep.
