Job summary

SYSTRA is seeking a Junior Civil/Structural Engineer to support rail mass transit construction projects in the New York metropolitan area. You will perform document control, review submittals, and work as a field inspector under the guidance of the Resident Engineer.

The role requires 0–5 years of engineering experience and a degree in engineering or related field. Proficiency in MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint and the ability to obtain EIT/NICET within a year are expected. Flexible hours may apply.

Qualifications

• 0–5 years of engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s or Associate's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Use Established Software and Databases in the Performance of Document Control Functions.
• Distribute Contractor/Consultant Submittals/Deliverables for Review.
• Serve as a field inspector on rail, station and infrastructure projects under the guidance of the Resident Engineer.
• Assist SYSTRA's Construction Management unit leadership with marketing functions on an as-needed basis.
• Write Memos, Letters, Meeting Minutes, and Written Reports as needed.
• Accept Flexible Work Hours including nights and weekends when necessary.
