SYSTRA's Construction Management unit isseekingOffice Engineers - Fieldto support our current rail mass transit construction projects in operating railroad environments in the New York City Area.

Responsibilities

The Office Engineer - Field,under the direction of a Project Manager, will:

• Use Established Software and Databases in the Performance of Document Control Functions
• Receive, Distribute, and Respond to Contractor Submittals/Deliverables
• Arrange Meetings as required with client Engineering andConstruction Management Personnel
• Write Memos, Letters, and Meeting Minutes relevant to ProjectActivities
• Utilize Expertise and Experience to Assist in Timely Resolution of Project Issues
• Accept Flexible Work Hours including Occasional Nights and Weekends when necessary
• Generate Weekly and Monthly Project Summary Reports
• Assist the Project Manager in Managing Various Project Meetings
• Assist in Change Order Negotiations
• Maintain a Computer-Based Digital Photo Record of Construction Progress

Qualifications

• Minimum Five (5) years of engineering experience
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field preferred
• Experience and Proficiency withone or more project managementsoftware packages– such as Expedition,Prolog or Constructware.
• Proficient with MS Word,Excel, and PowerPoint
• Goodverbal and written communication skills
