Job summary

Pelican Energy Consultants is seeking an entry level civil/structural engineer to design industrial steel and concrete structures for clients in the energy sector. You will be mentored by a Design Engineer, Lead engineer, Project Engineer or Manager using structural analysis and design concepts learned in school.

Engineer I typically handles small scale structural steel supports and concrete foundations, with larger tasks assigned as skills grow and experience increases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Engineer Intern (FE) certification.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of client, industry, regulatory and other guidelines.
• Prepare design calculations per code and criteria provided.
• Design steel and concrete structures and foundations for pipe supports and equipment.
• Coordinate with drafting personnel to review engineered drawings.
• Gain experience with structural analysis software such as RISA.
