Job summary

Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Engineer I in Wilmington, NC for its Land Development group. The role involves designing, building, and supporting large construction projects, including roadways, utilities, and land development elements.

You will collaborate with senior staff, complete design details, perform calculations, and contribute to specifications and field data collection. A civil engineering degree is required; EIT and AutoCAD Civil 3D experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering with coursework in land development and/or water resources preferred.
• EIT preferred.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design project components using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other industry-standard software.
• Complete calculations using engineering formulas and/or computers to solve problems.
• Research and prepare material specifications, installation guidelines, and inspection protocols.
• Work to complete design details and plan sets.
• Complete field observation, inspection and data collection duties as directed by senior staff.
• Collaborate with client staff and internal design team as directed by senior staff.
• Contribute to cost estimates and technical reports that drive project success.
