Job summary

Kinsley Construction, Inc. is seeking a Site Junior Estimator for our Civil team in the North East, MD office. You will evaluate project plans, conduct site visits, analyze data, and prepare detailed cost estimates.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential to accurately estimate labor, materials, and equipment. Ideal candidates will have Civil construction estimating experience, proficiency with estimating software and Excel, and the ability to work independently and as

Qualifications

• Civil construction estimating experience preferred.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Excel.
• Strong analytical and mathematical abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to pass and maintain a DOT physical and drug/alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specs, and site conditions to develop project requirements.
• Conduct on-site visits to assess conditions and identify challenges.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment and related costs.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering ideas.
• Collaborate with team to align estimates with goals and client expectations.
• Develop competitive bid proposals and participate in bid reviews.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for pricing and relationships.
• Monitor project costs and adjust estimates as needed.
• Stay up to date with industry trends to improve estimating accuracy.
