Job summary

Freese and Nichols is seeking an entry-level Engineer I to begin a career in civil/environmental engineering. You will develop design plans, support hydraulic calculations, and build models using standard software while visiting project sites to understand how plans move into reality.

You will work with experienced engineers who mentor you toward EIT/EI and PE licensure, with opportunities for flexible scheduling and growth into project leadership as you gain experience.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Civil/Environmental/Water Resource Engineering or related field.
• Majors listed include Civil/Environmental/Water Resource, Biological and Agricultural/Biosystems, Structural/Geotechnical/Geological Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop design plans and support hydraulic calculations and drainage studies.
• Build and review models using industry-standard engineering software.
• Visit project sites to see designs in the field and track progression.
• Gradually take ownership of portions of real project deliverables.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and clients to ensure quality outcomes.
