Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. in Arizona is seeking a full-time engineer to assist the Engineering Staff with design, operation, and maintenance of water and wastewater systems, utilizing CAD drafting, GIS mapping, and SAP EAM.

The role emphasizes learning under supervision, requiring a BS in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology, proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office, and AutoCAD/ArcGIS experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology.
• Experience with Windows OS and Microsoft Office.
• AutoCAD and/or ArcGIS experience preferred.
• Understanding of hydraulics for gravity and pressure systems.
• Ability to prioritize and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist in civil engineering tasks related to utilities.
• Prepare cost estimates and support engineering department.
• Develop spreadsheets and applications for field and office use.
• Prepare documents using word processing and spreadsheets.
• Coordinate with Procurement for materials analysis and approval.
• Update SAP project material lists prior to construction.
• Perform routine decisions under clearly defined procedures.
• Work under supervision and have work reviewed by senior engineers.
• Work with GIS and SAP EAM technologies.
• Maintain project documentation and file index.
• Follow safety policies and report unsafe activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
