Job summary

HNTB is seeking an engineer-intern/entry-level professional with a Bachelor’s in Engineering to contribute to design calculations, reports, and project drawings. You will work with the project team to develop concepts, perform analyses, and support quantity and cost estimates.

Based in the Allen Park, MI area, this role involves learning design tools (MicroStation, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office) and assisting engineers across multiple transportation and infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Familiarity with engineering principles and software tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of MicroStation and AutoCAD a plus.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work within the schedule and hours provided.
• Supports the preparation and modification of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.
• Assists in the preparation of project quantity and cost estimates.
• Assists engineering teams with organization and administrative support of design files.
• Supports engineering teams with tasks including data collection, field investigations, development and design of projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
