Job summary

HNTB Corporation in Michigan is seeking engineering intern(s) to support ITS/Traffic, CEI, Structures and Highway teams. You will assist assigned engineers on tasks, develop drawings, and help prepare project documents. Candidates should be enrolled in an accredited engineering program, have basic math and engineering fundamentals, and be proficient with Microsoft Office.

Relocation not provided. This internship offers hands-on experience with real projects and exposure to transportation

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent plus current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program.
Understands engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles at a basic level.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Accepts and applies direction from peers and supervisors.
Understands introductory shop drawing and submittal procedures.
Able to perform basic engineering calculations.
Able to organize information for drawings or documents.

Responsibilities

Assists engineer teams in various tasks and duties.
Assists Engineer with research, development and design of projects.
Assists Engineer with the preparation of engineering drawings and documents as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.
