Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Assistant Civil Engineer in Phoenix, AZ to support project teams through design stages for diverse facilities including power, healthcare, and aerospace. You will work under licensed engineers, helping adapt civil plans to budget, schedule, and client needs.

Responsibilities include assisting with production drawings, field inspections, and client presentations while gaining exposure to AutoCAD, Civil 3D and BIM tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; ABET accreditation preferred.
• Internship or related consulting experience is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of civil engineering concepts, principles and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in civil design from concept through design completion.
• Modify and review production drawings for projects (power, process, industrial, healthcare, airports, education, commercial, government and military).
• Assist design of civil components per project manager requirements.
