Job summary

We are seeking an entry-level Civil Engineer at Sargent & Lundy to join a multi-disciplinary team on power plant projects. You will develop civil site designs, perform calculations, and support design and permitting activities for facilities in a collaborative environment.

The role requires a BS or MS in Civil Engineering, proficiency with Civil 3D/StormCad/PondPack/MicroStation or AutoCAD, and strong communication skills. Some travel to client offices may be required.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Civil Engineering required.
• Proficiency with civil engineering software (Civil 3D, StormCad, PondPack, MicroStation or AutoCAD).
• Knowledge of technical plans, drawings and model production.

Responsibilities

• Prepare calculations for storm water drainage, sanitary sewer, earthwork for design and permitting.
• Prepare technical specifications to define construction requirements.
• Create site layout, grading and drainage designs.
• Design storm sewers, roads, trackwork, ponds and landfills as needed.
• Collaborate with Designers to create 3-D models and drawings.
• Review vendor drawings for conformity with specs and may travel for reviews.
