Job summary

Haskell is seeking an entry-level Civil Engineering design professional in Oklahoma City to produce innovative, cost-effective designs, drawings, and specifications for assigned projects. You will coordinate with other disciplines and work toward licensure.

You’ll assist in construction plans, cost estimates, and documentation under supervision of a Licensed Professional, with Fall 2026 / Spring 2027 graduates targeted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited university in civil engineering preferred or other degree related to the civil engineering profession.
• 0 - 3 years of experience and the ability to sit for the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (EI) within 6 months of hire required; exam certification preferred.
• Primarily focused on upcoming graduates (Fall 2026 / Spring 2027)

Responsibilities

• Participates in project strategy meetings within discipline, develops design concepts, produces pricing and proposal presentation documents.
• Performs analyses or calculations as assigned; assists in the development of reports under the direction of a Licensed Professional.
• Reads and understands local/state/federal highway design manuals, provisions, specifications, and standards; maintains orderly work files and writes memos.
• Produces well-organized, finished design documents from layouts or sketches under supervision of Licensed Professional.
• Assists in development of construction plans, right-of-way plans, cost estimates, bid documents and quantity takeoffs.
• Assists Licensed Professional with production/assembly/plotting of drawing packages and writing specifications.
• Supports project site visits by taking notes, photographs and sketches; prepares field reports.
