Job summary

EWI Recruitment is seeking a Civil Engineer I to support the design, development and delivery of civil engineering projects across infrastructure and built-environment schemes. Under the guidance of experienced engineers, you will contribute from early concept through to construction, gaining broad exposure to technical design, site activities and project coordination.

Qualifications

Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering (pursuing encouraged).
Knowledge of relevant standards, design guidance and health and safety legislation advantageous.
Experience with engineering design and calculation software, CAD packages and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

Prepare calculations, drawings, specifications, technical reports and cost estimates.
Assist with the design of roads, drainage systems, earthworks, utilities and other civil infrastructure.
Review information to ensure designs meet relevant standards and client requirements.
Support surveys, site investigations and inspections; record site information accurately; assist with resolving technical issues during construction.
Liaise with colleagues, contractors, consultants and stakeholders; attend project meetings; monitor progress; contribute to risk assessments, quality assurance and health and safety procedures.
