Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Graduate Engineer to support a licensed Civil Engineer, learn standard practices and local agency codes, and become proficient in AutoCAD Civil3D.

A large amount of time will be devoted to mastering Civil3D for projects that require accuracy and efficiency. The role requires organization, self-motivation, and the ability to collaboratively solve complex issues on time and within budget while pursuing a Professional Engineering license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or the ability to obtain within 6–12 months.
• Engineer-in-Training Certificate or the ability to obtain within 6–12 months.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exhibits and design drawings using AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Coordinate with agency staff and internal teams on designs, analysis, and issues.
• Prepare entitlement documents for Tentative Maps, Vacations, Zone Changes, Entitlements, etc.
• Calculate quantities using Excel and draft justification letters in Word.
• Assist with construction drawings in AutoCAD Civil3D including grading plans, plan and profiles, construction details, storm drain, water and sewer facilities, signage and striping plans.
