Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. in Virginia is seeking a Civil Graduate Engineer to support licensed Civil Engineers while learning the company’s standard practices and local agency codes. A large amount of time will be dedicated to becoming proficient in AutoCAD Civil3D.

The applicant needs to be organized, self-motivated, and able to collaboratively solve complex issues on time and within budget. You will prepare design drawings, coordinate with agency staff, and assist with entitlement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or ability to obtain within 6–12 months.
• Engineer-in-Training Certificate or the ability to obtain within 6–12 months.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exhibits and design drawings using AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Coordinate with agency staff and internal support teams on designs and issues.
• Prepare entitlement documents for Tentative Maps, Vacations, Zone Changes, Entitlements, etc.
