Job summary

CEM Corporation is seeking a highly motivated Junior Chemist to join our Manufacturing team supporting Life Science Consumable Products. Responsibilities include quality control testing, preparing and packaging reagents for Solid Phase Peptide Synthesis (SPPS), and maintaining batch records.

The role emphasizes following established procedures, inventory management, and collaboration with Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.
• Experience in quality control or manufacturing preferred but not required.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control testing and inspection of incoming raw materials used in SPPS to verify specifications.
• Prepare, manufacture, bottle, package, label, and store laboratory reagents and consumables per procedures.
• Execute production activities according to schedules while maintaining quality and efficiency.
