Job summary

Charles River Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a Research Analyst I - Cellular & Molecular Biology in Mattawan, MI to support in vitro, molecular, and cell-based assays. The role involves preclinical and clinical study support using qPCR/ddPCR in a GLP environment.

Essential functions include performing procedures, documenting results, maintaining inventory, and contributing to data analysis. A BA/BS is required, and US work authorization is necessary; weekends and extended shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels inside and outside the organization.
• Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Computer skills, commensurate with essential functions, include the ability to learn a validated system.
• Ability to work extended hours beyond normal schedule (evenings, weekends, extra shifts, short notice).
• Ability to work under specific time constraints.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without a sponsor visa, now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently perform and document all procedures, materials and results in compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
• Demonstrate effective communication with peers, supervisor, and team.
• Assist with laboratory maintenance functions.
• Independently perform labeling and solution preparations.
• Assist with maintaining study inventory with oversight.
• Write study and non-study deviations with minimal oversight.
• Develop critical thinking, troubleshooting and time management skills.
• Assist in execution of routine sample analysis studies with oversight.
• Assist in execution of method validation projects with oversight.
• Operate laboratory instruments with oversight.
• Assist with data analysis in appropriate software for at least one analytical platform.
