Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Sarasota, FL is seeking a JR CEI Inspector to join our on-site team. You will assist field staff with sampling materials and conducting soil, concrete or asphalt testing, while documenting the construction process in diary notes.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent. You will carry materials up to 60 lbs., prepare testing sites, and perform basic plan reading as part of daily responsibilities on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to perform physical tasks such as carrying materials up to 60 lbs.
• Basic note-taking and diary record-keeping on site.

Responsibilities

• Carries materials (usually up to 60 lbs.).
• Prepares testing site using shovel, wheelbarrow and other tools.
• Assists field representatives in sampling materials and conducting soil testing, concrete or asphalt testing, and similar activities.
• Takes general notes on construction process, keeping diary records.
• Performs minimal plan reading, e.g., station location, curve information, locating features and elevations.
• Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
