Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors in Los Angeles is seeking a CAD Drafter to provide drafting support under supervision. You will review drawings, draft plans, and interpret redlines to help multiple disciplines progress on projects.

The ideal candidate has up to 2 years of related drafting or coursework, strong CAD skills (AutoCAD and/or MicroStation), and proficient use of MS Office and Acrobat. This role offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD is preferred.
• Certification: Certification is not required at this level.
• Experience: This position requires up to 2 years of relevant industrial experience in drafting and design or related coursework.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and comprehending drawings from various disciplines before initiating drafting effort on any specific item. Understanding project scope, specifications and design criteria upon assignment.
• Interpreting redline instructions reflected on marked up drawings.
• Draft plans from various disciplines using design and drafting standards under direct supervision.
• Develop cross divisional relationships, and provide HELIX support under direct supervision.
