Titan Fire & Life Safety in Vista, CA is seeking an entry-level Junior CAD Designer to turn CAD and construction experience into a specialized fire protection design career. No prior fire sprinkler design experience is required; training will be provided.

You’ll work with experienced designers, learn industry-specific software, and grow into more responsibilities as you gain knowledge and skills.

Qualifications

• Experience using AutoCAD or comparable CAD/drafting software.
• Basic knowledge of construction methods and terminology.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
• Strong computer skills and technical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and modify fire sprinkler system drawings using CAD-based design software.
• Review architectural, structural, and mechanical construction plans.
• Assist senior designers with sprinkler layouts and system design.
• Coordinate fire sprinkler systems with other building trades.
• Learn fire protection codes, design standards, and industry requirements.
• Assist with hydraulic calculations and material takeoffs.
• Participate in design coordination meetings.
• Communicate with project managers, designers, and field personnel.
• Maintain accurate drawings and project documentation.
• Develop the skills necessary to independently design fire sprinkler systems.
