Job summary

Century Fire Protection is seeking a Fire Protection Designer to design sprinkler systems for diverse projects and ensure field installation aligns with drawings. You will prepare submittals, perform field surveys, and assist with installation issues to support project success.

The role requires a GED or equivalent and 1–3 years of experience; NICET is a plus. Proficiency with SprinkCad, AutoCAD or HydroCAD is preferred. Great growth opportunities are offered across our expanding offices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years related experience preferred; NICET certification a plus.
• Proficiency with SprinkCad, AutoCAD or HydroCAD is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design fire protection sprinkler systems for industrial, commercial and residential projects.
• Submit design plans to leadership for approval and obtain permits as required.
• Calculate dimensions and resize figures for production.
• Develop designs within allocated hours for each job.
• Review work orders and manuals to identify critical dimensions.
• Prepare submittal packages and correspondence to gain design approval.
• Prepare fabrication lists for pipe fabrication and requisition materials.
• Perform field surveys to verify design suitability for structures.
• Assist field personnel with design-related installation issues.
• Prepare and submit final close-out documents after acceptance testing.
