Job summary

Giti Tire Manufacturing in Chester, SC seeks a Junior Buyer – Entry Level to support the Purchasing Department. This training‑oriented role processes purchase orders, gathers vendor quotes, tracks deliveries, and maintains supplier records, helping ensure materials and services are available for daily operations.

You'll work closely with experienced buyers and other departments to learn purchasing, inventory control, and supplier coordination in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• No prior purchasing experience required; training will be provided.
• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Experience in admin, data entry or manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing and processing purchase requisitions and orders.
• Collect vendor quotations and compare pricing and availability.
• Maintain vendor records and purchasing documentation.
• Track purchase orders and follow up on deliveries.
• Coordinate with Receiving, Accounting, and Finance to resolve discrepancies.
