Job summary

Nichiha is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist in Macon, GA to develop and implement inventory control procedures, monitor levels, reconcile records with production, purchasing and accounting, and prepare detailed reports.

The role requires 2–3 years of experience in inventory management, a bachelor's degree, strong analytical skills, and familiarity with inventory-related regulatory requirements such as SOX. This is a full-time on-site position in Georgia.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to ensure accurate tracking of inventory levels and transactions.
  • Monitor inventory levels and usage patterns to ensure that inventory is maintained at optimal levels.
  • Work closely with production, purchasing, and accounting departments to reconcile inventory records and identify discrepancies.
  • Prepare inventory reports and analysis, including inventory turnover, stock-out rates, and obsolete inventory level.
  • Perform regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Work closely with Procurement Coordinators and the Receiving Teams.
  • Issue POs for approved Requisitions as needed to support Purchasing Coordinators.
  • Work with vendors/suppliers on competitive quotes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings in inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with all inventory-related regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Collaborate with Storeroom Supervisor to ensure receipts and inventory accuracy.
  • Set up new storeroom items in IFS systems.
