Job summary

Nichiha USA, Inc. is hiring for an on-site Inventory Control Specialist in Macon, GA. The role focuses on maintaining accurate inventory records, optimizing stock levels, and collaborating with production, procurement, and accounting to reconcile data.

Responsibilities include performing physical counts, generating reports, and driving process improvements to reduce costs. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2–3 years in inventory management or procurement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field-- Preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience in, purchasing, inventory management, procurement or related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with inventory management software and systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to inventory management, such as SOX, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to ensure accurate tracking of inventory levels and transactions
  • Monitor inventory levels and usage patterns to ensure that inventory is maintained at optimal levels
  • Work closely with production, purchasing, and accounting departments to reconcile inventory records and identify discrepancies
  • Prepare inventory reports and analysis, including inventory turnover, stock-out rates, and obsolete inventory level
  • Perform regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods
  • Work closely with Procurement Coordinators and the Receiving Teams
  • Issue POs for approved Requisitions as needed to support Purchasing Coordinators
  • Work with vendors\suppliers on competitive quotes
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings in inventory management
  • Ensure compliance with all inventory-related regulatory requirements and standards
  • Collaborate with Storeroom Supervisor to ensure receipts and inventory accuracy.
  • Set up new storeroom items in IFS systems
